The warisan kayu is a local wood carver store in the street of Pasar Seni, Kuala Lumpur. The fluidity and curvilinear design give a new opportunity that will inhibit a subtle local cultural identity. The form and used material of strong and solid laminated timber along reflects the origin of the well-known tree in the rainforest climate, Chengal. The morphology of the warisan kayu involves an architectural dialogue of simulating natural features. The design quality of the warisan kayu is to act as an icon that promotes seamless method in enhancing the user’s experience while attracting more passerby’s to the store.The intent of the design is to create an indoor canopy of a silhouette of a tree where it has the curvilinear form along its strong material. The natural silhouette form of chengal trees can be found in the tropical rainforest of Malaysia, thus help to carefully mold the warisan kayu’s making strategy.
